Your agreement when booking services through Move Nest

1. Service Overview

Move Nest operates as a national booking platform for Energy Performance Certificates (EPCs) and related property services. All assessments are conducted by independent, qualified Domestic Energy Assessors (DEAs).

2. Third-Party DEA Engagement

  • We do not carry out EPC assessments ourselves.
  • Jobs are referred to a DEA local to your area, who is either a sole trader or part of their own company.
  • Move Nest is not liable for the conduct, professionalism, or outcome of the DEA or their submitted reports.
  • Disputes must be taken up directly with the DEA’s business or governing body.

3. Payment

  • All payments are to be made to Move Nest in advance through our secure online system.
  • DEAs must not be paid directly by customers under any circumstances.
  • DEAs are paid by Move Nest after completion of the service.

4. Cancellation & Refunds

  • You may cancel your booking up to 3 working days before your scheduled appointment for a full refund.
  • Cancellations within 3 working days are non-refundable.
  • If you miss your appointment (no-show or failure to provide access), no refund will be issued.
  • If a DEA misses the appointment, we will reschedule at no extra cost.

5. Rescheduling

Reschedule requests must be made at least 3 working days in advance. We cannot guarantee acceptance of short-notice changes.

6. Access and Property Conditions

  • You must ensure the property is accessible and safe at the time of the appointment.
  • Inaccessible areas or unsafe conditions may result in the appointment being aborted with no refund.

7. Customer Obligations

  • You must provide accurate information when booking.
  • Failure to disclose correct property details may result in additional charges or cancellation.
  • Deliberate misinformation may lead to cancellation without refund.

8. Service Limitations

We cannot guarantee specific appointment times or the same assessor for follow-up work. All reports are subject to DEA judgement and EPC regulations.

9. Limitation of Liability

  • Move Nest is not responsible for any loss, damage, or delay resulting from third-party DEA actions or omissions.
  • We exclude liability for indirect or consequential losses to the extent permitted by law.

10. Force Majeure

Move Nest will not be liable for service failures due to events beyond our control including, but not limited to, natural disasters, illness, or internet outages.

11. Privacy

We respect your data privacy. Your information is shared only with the assigned DEA for appointment purposes. View our Privacy Policy for more details.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms and Conditions at any time. Material updates will be notified via email or site banner.
